GMTC is "camp" in every sense of the word! Not fancy or luxurious but cozy and comfy and so much fun!!
Located in a beautiful wooded setting, nestled in the Green Mts of Vermont, the rustic cabins (with electricity) are just a few steps from the restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets! Bring a swimsuit and towel too as we have a beautiful pool! Many hiking trails, covered bridges, waterfalls and swimming holes are within walking distance of the camp! We enjoy delicious meals in our screened dining hall, prepared by our wonderful cook who is very accommodating to special diets-just let us know! Much of our food is locally grown and organic, including veggies from our own gardens here at the camp. There is a large century old wooden lodge on the hill where we will gather for our large group activities. We also will have an "art instigator" who will be facilitating an "art space" in our art barn that is like a large treehouse where creating comes naturally! We have a small camp store and larger stores are a short drive away if you forget anything and transportation can be arranged.
The closest airport is Hartford, CT (1.5 hours away) and we can help with transportation if you let us know your flight plans and arrive Sun afternoon and leave later on Friday afternoon as a shuttle will be running to and from camp at those times. The train station is in Brattleboro,VT, about 6 miles away. Feel free to call before you make your flight plans so we can help you determine the best travel times if you need a ride to the airport.
Once you register, you will receive a "what to bring to camp" list and other important details that will make your experience the best it can be!
All meals, lodging and tuition as well as a certificate for 20 hours of inservice training are included in the fee.
Cost is all inclusive at $450 per camper with special rates for children. (Ask for details) A deposit of $200 and the registration form is required to hold your spot with the balance due upon arrival at camp! We have tried our best to keep costs affordable but if this fee presents a real hardship for you, we may be able to find small scholarships for those needing help to come. As Tom Hunter always said, "Money should not be the thing that keeps you from coming" and we will try to help make it happen!
